Senior Proposal & Grant Writer
Company: Build4Kidz Foundation / Piru Group
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Albuquerque, NM
About the Role
The Build4Kidz Foundation operates at the intersection of commercial development, government contracting, and community impact. We are seeking a highly strategic Senior Proposal & Grant Writer. This role is split into two critical functions: writing winning proposals for multi-million dollar local/state/federal government contracts (Piru Group & EcoMod), and securing public/private grant funding for our non-profit arm focusing on affordable housing (Build4Kidz Foundation).
Core Responsibilities
- Government RFPs (For-Profit): Architect, write, and submit highly technical and compliant responses to municipal and federal solicitations (e.g., City of Albuquerque MRA RFPs, NMFA Housing Development Programs).
- Non-Profit Grants (Build4Kidz): Research, draft, and win grants related to community development, affordable housing, and transitional housing initiatives from private foundations and government entities (e.g., AmeriCorps, state housing trusts).
- Compliance & Assembly: Manage the entire submission lifecycle. Ensure all narratives, financials, compliance matrices, and legal attachments are formatted perfectly and submitted ahead of strict deadlines.
- Pipeline Management: Continually hunt for new solicitations, foundation grants, and subsidies that align with our modular housing and urban infill capabilities.
Requirements
- Proven, documentable track record of winning government RFPs and non-profit grants.
- Exceptional technical writing and editing skills—ability to translate complex construction and development concepts into compelling narratives.
- Deep understanding of government procurement portals and foundation submission guidelines.
